Mikayla Magee is a contemporary painter and visual designer based in Dallas, Texas.

She started creating at a very young age and began honing her skills in high school. This is where she started to explore the concept of identity in relation to social constructs and societal standards—creating abstract depictions of familiar human characters.

Mikayla acquired a BFA in Communication Design at Texas State University in 2021, where she had the opportunity to take studio classes and was introduced to oil painting, which is her primary art medium today. Those classes rekindled her passion for creating traditional art and were the catalyst to her seeking art opportunities after college.

Now, Mikayla creates in a style that has shifted to realism with a focus on individuality and growth. Her work explores and documents her introspection and personal journey.
