For the 6th Annual Texas State Hackathon, we were given facial recognition software from MoodMe and tasked with creating a system that would benefit the Texas State campus.

The idea had to have a measurable business model, a conceptual design, and utilize the SDK technology we were given. Our team sought to bring awareness to mental health by designing an attendance app that tracks your mood.

Designers: Neftaly Torres, Mikayla Magee

Business: Tanner Turnbow, Josh Avery

Computer Science: Clayton Stamper, Joshua Silva

After logging in, the app opens the attendance screen.

When students scan their faces for attendance, the app keeps a log of how the students are feeling.

The app also sends push notifications containing student resources to those who need a little encouragement.
